A campaign to crack down on the underground construction market spearheaded by Richard Tolson, Director of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Administrative District Council, New Jersey Locals No. 4 & 5, has launched a new website.
In his letter below, Tolson is urging everyone to visit the site and learn more how the underground construction economy is costing the state millions in lost revenue. The site encourages readers to fill out the online form to increase the pressure on state lawmakers to weed out the offenders and shut down the illegal, underground construction market.
Read the letter below and join the fight.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
To keep up the pressure on elected officials to shut down the illegal, underground construction market, we recently launched a new statewide campaign.
The advertising campaign is on digital media and TV and directs people to a new website, FairnessNJ.com. The website shows our ad and lets people quickly send an email to elected officials. More than 4,000 emails have already been sent only the first week of the campaign.
We are asking for your help to get the word out. Here’s how:
1.Fill out the form on the website and tell Trenton to stop millionaires from abusing working people.
2.Share this website — FairnessNJ.com — with anyone and every you know. Email it around and post it on your social media accounts, asking people to fill out the form to tell Trenton to stop the abuse of working people. Ask your friends, family and others to do the same – to post on social media and share with anyone they know.
After you’ve helped spread the word, relax and watch the Giants vs. Cowboys game tonight — our ad will be airing during the game.
Richard E. Tolson
